Kazakhstan is Planning to Export 10 Thousand Tons of Meat in 2014

The implementation of the project on export potential of beef meat goes under the plan and even it can be said that it is over fulfilled. This ascertainment was announced by the Collegiums of the Ministry of Agriculture yesterday, which was dedicated on the results of 2013 and the main objectives for the current year.

4.5 thousand tons of exported meat and meat products, including about 300 tons beef of premium class were implemented in 2013. The export forecast for 2014 are 10 thousand tons of meat of which 5 thousand tons to be beef meat. 

The press-service of the agency “Kazakh-Zerno” noted that in the year of 2013 the percentage of cattle in organized households amounted up to 31%, in private households (LPH) up to 69%. For comparison: at the beginning of 2010, an average number of livestock in organized households stood at 18%.
