“RUSGRAIN” IS PLANNING TO INVEST 2 BILLION ROUBLES IN POULTRY FARMING DEVELOPMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF BASHKORTOSTAN (ALSO KNOWN AS BASHKIRIA)

Agroholding “Ruskoe Zerno” (“Rusgrain”) is going to increase poultry meat and chicken eggs production capacity in The Republic of Bashkortostan in a significant way.

Representatives of the company explained that the investments in modernization of Bashkir assets of the company are estimated at 2 billion roubles of which 500 million roubles have already been mastered. Poultry farm “Bashkir” is one of the largest poultry farms in Russia. Company Rusgrain is planning to increase egg production to 1 billion per year. Last factory annual report says that the farm earned 431 million roubles and the capacity of Bashkir farm is planned to be increased twice. It has been reported that the second stage of modernization will be implemented until the end of the year. The expansion of farm production will require allocation of additional land for this agricultural holding. That is why the holding is going to take part in auctions for land purchasing. Two more poultry farms producing eggs –  “Ashkadarska” and “Tuymazin” are part of Rusgrain plans  to be reconstructured into broiler breeding farms.

Currently, broiler chicken production in The Republic of Bashkortostan is owned by the companies “Turbaslin broilers” and “Ufa”. The transition of “Ashkadarska” and “Tuymazin” farms into poultry meat production, like other farms in the group, will allow them to double meat production of all Bashkir enterprises from 30 thousand tonnes up to 60 thousand tonnes per year. This will make it possible to close the requirements of the Republic for chicken meat by half (at the rate of 30 kg per person). A Rusgrain press release states that the region is not self-sufficient of its own poultry production at the moment. “According to our calculations, egg and meat production will continue to grow in the future, so we invest heavily in them,” has been quoted by the general director of the holding Alexeya Verkhoturova in the above mentioned press release.
