IFFA Emerges as a Satellite of the New Headquarters

Location inspires diverse exhibition innovations

holac Maschinenbau GmbH presented a number of innovative new products at IFFA 2016. The Baden-Württemberg processing specialist first brought these new products directly to Frankfurt from its new site in Nattheim in the Swabian Alb.

The new Optimus Sect 280’s extremely high efficiency piqued the interest of many international visitors to the holac booth. The special gripper on their top-model slicer holds the product in place during cutting procedures, thus keeping waste to a low 3%.

But the other product advantages impressed visitors just as much: with its massive, fully welded housing, this high-performance slicer represents made-in-Germany quality. With its dynamic servo blade drive the Optimus Sect makes up to 900 cuts per minute. A large touchscreen makes operation particularly easy — and this machine even meets the most stringent hygiene standards faster and more effectively because it cleans itself.

A variety of models for every size company

Visitors to the holac booth came not only from the meat processing but also from the cheese industry: the new IS 350 cheese slicer offers an impressive power output of more than ten tons per hour. The innovative concept feed and continuous product supply to the machine also provide optimal production results.

Model innovations from the previous year that have since been further enhanced also created a lot of buzz at the tradeshow. In total, holac occupied 525 square meters in introducing its 24  machines. They presented a cross-section of their broad range of products, ranging from the compact Cubixx 100 to the large industrial Cubixx 150 LP and Maxx 150 LP machines.

Motor trend for the food industry

At IFFA 2016, holac took the opportunity to strike up intensive dialogue with customers and prospective customers: the exhibition team especially noted these visitors’ needs at their specially equipped point of service area. holac will be just as diligent this year as in the past in using feedback gained from these talks at the tradeshow to quickly respond to developments in the food industry. “An excellent example is the current trend toward pulled pork”, said Thomas Blümes, head of sales at holac. “Our engineers have developed a module to produce this US cuisine specialty using existing holac machines. This means that our customers get a ready-made solution that doesn’t require a large investment.”

In summing up this year’s IFFA tradeshow experience, Thomas Blümel views this year’s exhibition as a virtual satellite of the company’s newly built headquarters. “At this year’s tradeshow, we promoted a spirit of innovation that encourages and accelerates the development of ideas. We piqued many visitors curiosity enough that they want to visit us in Nattheim. They will get to experience the future of cutting technology first-hand at our visitor center. I cordially invite anyone interested to visit us.”
