Traditionally, Denmark and Russia have strong collaborations between food manufacturers and food tech suppliers. The Danish strongholds of high-quality technology, food safety and automation solutions match the increasing demands of sustainable and cost-efficient food production in the Russian market.
“The Danish food industry has always demanded the best food technology solutions. This has given the Danish suppliers the necessary skills to deliver world-class quality, absolute efficiency and top standard food safety within pork, meat, dairy and poultry,” explains Heidi Ravn, Head of Danish Food Tech Group, a network of Danish suppliers of food processing equipment, solutions and food technology.
With forecasts showing the increase in production of machinery and equipment in Russia will fourfold by 2025, Danish Food Tech Group is organising a national Pavilion of Denmark at AgroProdMash 2018 to meet the Russian demands.
“The Danish companies exhibiting at AgroProdMash have in-depth experience and knowledge of the Russian market demands. Accordingly, the suppliers are going to Moscow to support their local agents and distributors as well as being updated on new projects and meeting potential customers,” says Heidi Ravn.
Automation reduces costs
One of the exhibitors at the Pavilion of Denmark is DANA-Technology. The company specialise in designing, manufacturing and installing complete pre-preparation and processing solutions for renewing of lines as well as for new factories within the meat, poultry, fish and pet food industries.
“By automating the processing equipment and packaging lines, food manufacturers can increase production efficiency, reduce manual labour costs and avoid heavy lifting for the operating personnel, which has become more important in Russia because of the need to becoming self-sufficient,” explains Allan Eskildsen, Sales Manager at DANA-Technology.
Supplier of full production facilities
DANA-Technology has more than 20 years of experience in Russia, due to the fact that the company’s shareholders have been working in Russia within the food processing business all the years.
“We design and supply customised solutions according to market demands and manage the entire process, including gathering components from different suppliers into a project. This way, the Russian food manufacturers only need to deal with one supplier when demanding parts of processing lines or full production facilities,” says Allan Eskildsen.
