We think food better. Naturally

SWELITE™ F,
A new natural technical solution adapted to injected meat products

Contribute to healthy and sustainable food by gathering up the benefits of nature and providing easy to use integrated solutions.

With such a mission, Cosucra plays an important role in improving the nutritional profile of the food offer. From locally grown chicory and peas, more than 2000 food products references contain our naturally-sourced ingredients. These two plants contain clean label nutrients of exceptional quality, that Cosucra extracts in its state-of-the art facilities based on gentle aqueous process. The Chicory soluble fibre FIBRULINE™, the Pea protein isolate PISANE™, the Pea fibre SWELITE™ and the Pea starch NASTAR™ are clean label ingredients of reference in the health and nutrition market.

This year, with its stand at the IFFA exhibition in Frankfurt, Cosucra would like to highlight its pea fibre SWELITE™.  The IFFAexhibition is an opportunity for Cosucra to unveil SWELITE™ F, its new natural technical solution perfectly adapted to injected meat products as well as salted fodder for pasta or bakery products.

SWELITE™ F is the cell-wallfibre extracted from yellow peas. It is an insoluble fibre that combines both a highwater retention capacity and a grain size suitable for different applications.  This internal fibre of the pea, with a fine grain size, is a white powder of high density, neutral in taste and can act as a texturizer, allowing the replacement of certain E-numbers additives and a “clean label” communication.

The SWELITE™ range also includes our already existing standard pea fibrerenamed as SWELITE™ C.

SWELITE™ C, pea cell-wallfibre is a reference in the market of insoluble fibres.  Known for its high water retention and hydration rate, this pea fibre offers a natural technical solution for processed meat-based and plant-based products such as burgers, nuggets or sausages.

Visitors to the IFFA will have the opportunity to taste our ingredients in different food concepts prepared for the occasion:

– Injected pork meat

– Vegetarian pâté “Teewurst”

– Filled bakery products

– Filled pasta

In addition to our pea fibre range, we also offer the following ranges:

FIBRULINEchicory root fibre is a soluble fibre derived from chicory roots grown in Western Belgium, a region with a rich agricultural tradition.  Totally invisible, tasteless and easy-to-process, this ingredient is used by food manufacturers worldwide to enrich their products with fibre and to reduce sugar and/or fibre content.

FIBRULINE™chicory root fibre is used in a broad range of market references, in areas such as dairy or bakery products, in confectionary, beverages as well as in products for particular nutritional uses such as infants or seniors. FIBRULINE™can play an important role in weight management diets and also support a low-glycaemic diet.

Naturally rich in protein, PISANE™pea protein combines organoleptic qualities, nutritional value and optimized features. With these incomparable nutritional qualities, PISANE™finds its interest in the nutrition sector. High digestibility, richness in essential and branched amino acids, low anti-nutritional factors: these are features to break into the markets of sports, dietary and clinical nutrition. In order to meet the challenges of the different food-health sectors, Cosucra has developed a complete range of proteins with specific functional properties. PISANE™pea proteins meet the technological requirements of plant-based products, high-protein drinks, powder mixes, but also gluten-free products or dairy products.
