UKRAINE: POULTRY FARMS IN LUGANSK REGION STARTED RESTORING THEIR PRODUCTION CAPACITY

Mr. Sergei Hvorostyanenko, who is the CEO of LLC “Selhozfirma Agroptaha” announced the revival of poultry industry in Lugansk region.

The head of the company said that the poultry farms in the region are recovering from the hostilities and began the production capacity expansion to pre-war levels.

According to Mr. Hvorostyanenko, they managed to stabilize the technological process. Currently, poultry farming is in dire need of pharmaceutical ingredients, feed concentrates, packaging and assembly resources.

He reminded that during the hostilities the parent stock of poultry farms had been significantly affected. The stock in Chernuhinskoy poultry farm has been completely destroyed and Izvarinskoy (“Agroptaha”) managed to keep 15% of the population.

“For example, 900 tonnes meat per month had been produced only at our factory prior to the war. And to get to those levels, it is necessary to simultaneously process a permanent development and cultivation of up to 700 thousand heads of chicks,” said Mr. Hvorostyanenko.

“In peacetime, the parent stock counted about 40 thousand heads totally, which made 30 thousand pieces of hatching eggs daily. We aim to reach out these volumes in the near future,” added the executive head of “Agroptaha”. 
