Westfort Meat Products (merger of Egbert Kruiswijk Vleesproducten and Lunenberg Vlees) to invest in a new pig slaughterhouse in IJsselstein (NL). MPS meat processing systems in Lichtenvoorde (NL) was chosen by Westfort to be the supplier of the ultra-modern slaughter line with cold storage units and product processing lines.
The new slaughterhouse has a capacity of 650 pigs / hour and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2015. The slaughter line will be equipped with the latest techniques with animal welfare, automation and sustainability as spearheads.
