Top Performer in Terms of Resilience and Hygiene UCRETE® Convinces Visitors at IFFA 2013

UCRETE® – flooring for the meat processing industry

Durable resistance to mechanical, chemical and thermal stress

Anti slip surfaces improve safety in wet areas

BASF presented its UCRETE® high-performance flooring at IFFA, the world’s most important innovation platform for meat processing equipment, in Frankfurt from 4 to 9 May 2013. The durable heavy duty polyurethane flooring system is outstandingly well-suited to meet the specific requirements of the meat processing industry, both for new facilities and for refurbishment projects. The presentation on the show stand not only made use of unusual perspective but also highlighted the unique features of UCRETE® flooring systems and so attracted the visitor’s attention.

At IFFA 2013 international contacts were made. Next to the presentation of UCRETE® flooring the particular requirements for planned new facilities and the renovation of existing meat processing plants have been discussed. In conversation with BASF specialists durable solutions for high-quality flooring systems in the meat industry were identified.

UCRETE® heavy duty polyurethane flooring systems have proved themselves from slaughter to cutting and boning through processing, cooking and curing to freezer and dispatch throughout the world for more than 40 years. They provide safe and hygienic floor surfaces which feature extraordinary resistance to a combination of high mechanical, chemical and thermal stresses, providing long lived flooring solutions. Depending on the layer thickness, they can withstand temperatures ranging from -40°C to 130°C. They are extremely resilient, as well as offering high chemical resistance and effective anti-slip properties. As UCRETE® floor systems are odourless and do not have any impact on taste, they can even be installed while normal production continues nearby. They comply with the requirements of AgBB (German committee for the health assessment of construction products) and hold an Indoor Air Comfort Gold certificate.
