Function, taste and “clean label” declaration are this year’s buzzwords. It is for this exact reason that the WIBERG product development team has collaborated with consultants to come up with product innovations that not only taste good – they also work perfectly and have a “clean label”. WIBERG continues to keep pace with the times, offering its customers and partners the best solutions for their requirements.

LONG-LASTING ENJOYMENT THROUGH PRESERVATIVES

The imprint “no preservatives” is having an ever greater influence on the purchasing decisions of consumers. With GERMEX FRESH, WIBERG has an effective solution for preservation without the need to declare E numbers – effective, safe and clean! Shelf life and freshness are ensured using only spice extracts.

VERSATILE SOLUTIONS FOR FIRST-CLASS MEAT PRODUCTS

Optimisers ensure stable, homogeneous emulsions that have a positive effect on consistency and texture, in particular in the production of cooked sausage products. WIBERG also has a few innovations in store in this area: MEAT REPLACER AP is an aroma for the production of meat substitutes for cooked sausage, cooked salami and cured sausage, and also increases the water holding capacity in cooked cured products. The “clean label” declaration is also given here. The new products OPTIMISER MC and OPTIMISER TF are active agent combinations for structure formation in cooked sausage, cooked salami and convenience products. The use of these products results in improved consistency in foods that are consumed hot, for example burgers, meatballs, barbecue cheese or cooked sausages. All three new products from this segment are free from allergenic ingredients that require labelling (in accordance with EU law).

WE EAT WITH OUR EYES

Sausage and meat specialities should not only taste good – the way they look also plays a vital role when it comes to selling these products. ROSSO PURE R and ROSSO PURE V are ingredient mixtures without additives subject to declaration (E numbers). These enhance the natural colour of the meat using only natural vegetable and plant extracts, for example, beetroot used in the ROSSO PURE V food colouring.

Since the end of 2015, WIBERG has been operating under the umbrella of the listed Frutarom Group. At this year’s IFFA, the companies WIBERG and Gewürzmüller/Gewürzmühle Nesse, both of which belong to the group, will welcome their customers to their stands as usual.
